The following is the transcript of Swann's telephone conversation with Sergeant Myers of the US Park Police,which began at 6:03 and 30 seconds.

Myers: Park Police Sergeant Myers.

        Swann: Hey [unintelligible] we got a lot, a problem.

Myers: No we don't.

        Swann: Yeah you do.

        Myers: Oh we do, okay. Tell me about it.

        Swann: Hey you got an accident on 1, down below 123.

Myers: Already been handled.

Swann: Huh?

Myers: It's already been handled.

Swann: Okay.

        Myers: Man's waiting on a tow truck to come and
        get him.

Swann: Yeah. Okay then.

Myers: I appreciate you calling in.

Swann: Hold it, hold it.

Myers: What?

Swann: You got a dead body.

Myers: We do?

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: You sure?

        Swann: There was this guy telling me now, I don't
        know.

Myers: Who told you?

Swann: Guy came in a white contractor uh, truck or uh Chevy.

Myers: The dead man told you or the other guy told you?

Swann: Now wait a hold, dead man don't talk.

Myers: Oh.

Swann: Okay.

Myers: Fort Marcy?

Swann: Yeah, Fort Marcy.

Myers: Up at the park.

Swann: Right.

Myers: Did you get the guy's name that told you?

Swann: No, that sucker, told us then took off.

Myers: What kind of car?

Swann: He had uh.

Myers: He may have done it.

Swann: A Chevrolet, white, uh.

Myers: He may have done it, think hard now I want all you know about this guy.   What kind of car did he have?

Swann: Huh?

Myers: What kind of car did he have?

Swann: He had a truck.

Myers: Had a truck? Van?

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: What color?

Swann: White.

Myers: White, what's uh, make, do you know a make?

Swann: Uh, what make of the van was that? It uh, I mean what, what year? Look like about a '78 or '79 or something like that.

Myers: Okay, and uh did you know what state tags he had?

Swann: He had Virginia tags on there.

Myers: Virginia tags?

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: Okay, what, what would you describe him, is he white male, black male, what?

Swann: White male.

Myers: White male, how tall?

Swann: Uh, he was sitting in the van

(unintelligible).

Myers: Oh, he was sitting in the van?

Swann: Five eleven, five something like that.

Myers: Okay, any facial hair? Beard, mustache?

Swann: No, kinda plain looking you know.

Myers: Okay, now.

Swann: A little bit on the heavy set.

Myers: Where, where did he stop and tell you?

Swann: At Turkey run.

Myers: At Turkey Run, at the maintenance yard, right?

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: Are you a Park Service employee?

Swann: Yes sir.

Myers: Okay, who are you, what's your name?

Swann: Do I have to do that?

Myers: Well, yeah really, what if this guy that stopped and told you is the guy that killed him? Okay, this guy came up the road, pulled into the parking lot?

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: And saw you standing there?

Swann: Uh-huh.

Myers: And came over and told you what? Tell mewhat he told you.

Swann: He said you got a dead body down there at Fort Marcy.

Myers: Okay, did he say it was in the parking lot or back in the woods or [question interrupted]

Swann: He said it was back up there by the cannon.

Myers: Back by the cannon?

Swann: Looked like he was kinda queery, you know.

Myers: Yeah, the dead body is back by the, by the cannon.

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: Okay, uh what else did he say?

Swann: That was it.

Myers: Did he, he didn't say anything about how he found it or anything?

Swann: He said he was walking by there.

Myers: Think he was a queer?

Swann: Huh?

Myers: Think he was a fag?

Swann: He said he was back there and he walked by there and seen a body back there.

Myers: He drove all the way to Turkey Run to tell somebody, huh?

Swann: Yeah.

Myers: Okay, that's all you can tell me about him?

Swann: That's it.

Myers: Okay. What's your name? Come on man you work for us, you got to help us, you might be  headlines, you might be on unsolved mysteries.  Hello.
