Views of areas around Fort Marcy Park.

This is a view of the back entrance to Fort Marcy Park from Chain Bridge Road.  Foster's body was found about 100 feet to the right of the car in the foreground.  In the distance on the right a marked Park Police car is on the shoulder of the road parked the trail entrance to the park.  The guard house of Saudi Ambassador's residence is directly across the street form the police car.

The collapsed fence bordering the park runs parallel to the road leading to the abandoned cabin.   The road shown on the left side of the illustration has existed since the Civil War and provides another vehicular approach to the park.   The Fiske and Starr Reports incorrectly stated that the only vehicular approach to the park was from the George Washington Parkway.
